The Wedding Guest Dress You Need.

It’s official. Wedding season is underway and it’s time to start thinking about those all important outfits.

I’m heading to seven weddings this year, and there’s one style of dress I keep going back to.

The floral Bardot.

I know. Florals at a wedding are hardly groundbreaking, but trust me – there’s a reason they work.

This floral number is from ASOS a couple of seasons ago now and has been my dress of choice at two weddings already.

The skater skirt is flattering (and great for swirling around on the dancefloor) and it’s not too short. It’s love.

I teamed it here with a black fascinator from ASOS and some Kurt Geiger sandals. We danced all night (even though the Bardot too *kind of* restricts your arms!)

ASOS has tonnes of dresses in this style (I’ve brought most of them for all the weddings I’m going to!) so if you’re looking for a dress style. I’d recommend this one!

We had a lovely time seeing one of the cutest couples tie the knot, and can’t wait for the next one in a fortnight!

What’s your wedding guest go-to outfit?!

Blush Pink Crushing: SPRING EDIT.

It’s official. My obsession with all things blush pink is out of control.

I know, I know. Blush pink for spring is hardly a groundbreaking fashion choice but I can’t help myself.

It started with a few touches here and there, you know, to break up the monochrome world that is my wardrobe, and now? Pretty much everything I’ve been buying or lusting over sits somewhere withing the blush pink colour spectrum.

Here are a few of the pieces I’ve been adding to my wardrobe:

1. Boohoo Faye Loafers

Hello faux-saude, blush-pink-with-gold-hardware babies. How my feet have been longing for YOU!

I first spied some *very* similar to these on the Topshop website but didn’t fancy paying nearly £30 for them. Girl’s got a cat to feed! Fast-forward a few days and I get a cheeky little discount code from Boohoo, and a quick browse brought up these.

They’re pink and gold, tick. Faux suede, tick. And actually pretty comfy. Ding ding, we have a winner!

2. New Look Culottes

I LOVE culottes. I think they’re super flattering, can be dressed up or down, and hide my milk-bottle legs in the early days of spring. Combine that with the fact that these cuties are a) blush pink and b) elasticated around the waist, well, let’s just say they went into my basket pretty sharpish.

They’re a lovely, soft material and feel a lot more expensive than the New Look price tag. Just ignore those lovely creases, the signature of ordering something online…! SIDE NOTE: Why does EVERYTHING you order from ASOS come creased?!

3. River Island Layered Midi Skirt

Image uploaded from iOS

I spoke in my March Monthly Faves about my love of midi skirts so it was only a matter of time before I added a blush pink one to my wardrobe. This double layered, pleated, blush pink hun had been in my saved items for WEEKS and then BAM – River Island sale stated and this cutie is less than half price.

It’s chiffony, floaty, and just spring perfection. I can’t wait to team it with a white body and some cute loafers or sandals. I think it’d look super cute with a pair of heels on date night too. Winner!

This skirt’s still full price on ASOS so if you wanna snap it up, check out the RI website first!

Have you been as obsessed with blush pink as me? What other spring fashion items have you been loving?

Beauty, Fashion, Fitness, Lifestyle

March Monthly Faves.

And here it is! My first ever favourites post! I absolutely love reading what other people have been loving, so thought it was about time I shared a few of the things that have been rocking my world this March.

Some are new additions to my wardrobe / make-up bag / routine and others are “oldies but goodies” that I’ve gone back to or have never really fallen out of love with. So let’s get straight into it!

Midi Skirts: The weather is warming up and I’ve been braving bare legs (and blinding everyone at work with my pasty pins) a few times now. I always thought that being short I couldn’t pull off a midi skirt but recently I’ve fallen hook, line and sinker for them. They’re a huge part of my spring wardrobe and I can’t wait to swap ankle boots for cute loafers on the regular.

Metafit: After a few weeks of being ill, I was in need of a serious kick up the backside when it came to getting back on the fitness wagon. I’ve been going to metafit classes and my GOD are they hard. It’s 30 minutes of pure blood, sweat and tears but I’ve been feeling great after. Plus, I’m starting to tone up super-quick after adding these classes into my regime which is a winner.

Pixi Skincare:  I’ve already raved about this in a recent post so won’t repeat myself here but boy oh BOY have I been loving these little beauties. I recently got my hands on the Glow Mud Clenser and Mask and the infamous Glow Tonic and my skin is looking – and feeling – better than ever.

Dublin: At the beginning of March (it feels like a million years ago now!), I headed to Dublin for my cousin’s hen weekend. I’d been planning it for over a year with my fellow Chief Bridesmaid and other cousin and we all had a blast. I’d like to go back to Dublin and spend more time there – and less time trying to drink pints of Guinness like a lad.

My New Car: Last but not least, I’ve got to give a shout-out to the new man in my life, my Vauxhall Adam. I’ve never been a big “car person” but after my old car’s life was cut short prematurely, I bit the bullet and am SO glad I did. I’m so in love with my new spaceship of a car. L.O.V.E!

ASOS Haulin’ #1

Oh ASOS, you are my absolute fave.

It’s a rare occasion when I don’t browse the “New In” section on my lunch break at work.

And I’m that much of an ASOSaholic, I’m on first-name terms with my DPD driver. Shout out to Gurmeet!

I got a little spendy on my ASOS and thought I’d share with you some of the bits I brought:

Ripped Hem Jeans

As soon as I saw these on Kate Ka Vie’s InstagramI KNEW I had to have them. They’re the perfect transitional piece (dreaming of ankle-baring weather) and look just as cute with a jumper as they do with a cami.

They’re high-waisted (tick), skinny leg (double tick) and have that extra something that make them stand out. Love!

Faux-Leather A-Line Mini

A leather (or pleather, in this case) skirt is a wardrobe staple but for some reason I didn’t have one.

I saw this New Look one on ASOS and snapped it up. It’s soft, super flattering, and not too short. I’m wearing it now with tights, boots and jumpers but have plans to dress it up for nights out sipping cocktails.

Ruffle Crop Top

I wanted a “dressy” too to wear with high-waisted skirts and jeans, and this bad boy fitted the bill.

I love the sheer top, long sleeves and ruffle detail. And it’s black, what’s not to love about a black top? It’s a classic!

“Kiss Me” Pjyamas

Last up are these super-adorbs pyjamas, ‘coz who doesn’t love new pjs?! I’m going on a weekend trip to Dublin next week for my cousin’s hen and you’ve gotta have new pyjamas when you go away!

The crop top is boxy, over-sized and has “Kiss Me” on the back and the leggings have a lip print on them. Love!!

What have you been loving on ASOS recently? How would you style these pieces? Let me know if you want a post on how I’ve been wearing them!
